Learn Hebrew Everyday!

Today I stayed home from work and I'm sick so I'm not in the mood to make this a long post. I already recited all the words earlier to my husband, so here it goes again:

  1. shavu'a means week
  2. hayom means today
  3. shanah means year
  4. luach shana means calendar
  5. etmol means yesterday
  6. machar means tomorrow
  7. sh'niyah means second
  8. sha'ah means hour
  9. dakah means minute
I think I got it down, but I keep mixing up sh'niyah with sha'ah. Remembering the "ah" in sha'ah is helping me remember it means hour.

My word of the day is besha'a which means o'clock. This should be really useful, just as long as I remember all the numbers. I know echad, steim, shalosh, and that's it so far.
